Summary
This project is different from other projects, because I was my own client. Yasurf is a new company that has yet to show itself in the IT world. It was therefore necessary to start at the beginning, namely the appearance of Yasurf. There was no name and no logo, no recognition. When this was there, it was necessary to show Yasurf in the form of a website and Social media. Finally, a design and development for a dashboard was needed.
The process
It's a crucial stage that allows both parties to align on the project's vision and expectations. To achieve the best results, I believe that any project should be completed in collaboration.
Research provides a broader understanding of the field and trends, creating a unique identity in the industry and identifying the aspects that differentiate the product from competition and where it can improve.
By performing this analysis, I come up with a list of dos and don'ts for the project as I strive to make each product unique. My primary aim is to make the product recognizable and powerful.
This is what is called a preparation phase when I come up with ideas, a set of assets, color palettes and other materials that may be at hand while creating the design. UX Research helps to find ways of implementation.
Wireframing is a phase that cannot be skipped while making the website design, because it helps to ensure that the structure is valid and that all screens are present. In addition, I also work out my ideas for the packaging with sketches.
I make the magic happen here! Designing is in my opinion the best part where the ideas come to life. Here I let my imagination run wild. The goal is of course to create a super brand and website.
By creating a clickable prototype in Figma, I perform a double check with the consistency of the current and user interaction. It helps to identify the holes and make corrections to the website before it is passed on to the next phase. In addition, with creating Mock Ups, it gives a great picture of what certain media expression will look like in real life.
At the end of this journey comes the delivery for developing the PWA. I did this together with my colleague Justin Drenthe, he was responsible for the back-end and I took responsibility for the front-end.
