Koppycoffee
Coffee for nature, animals and people

Every day huge pieces of nature are lost, Koppycoffee wants to stop this. By letting the local population plant coffee in the edges of the nature reserve, and then buy it for a fair price. This gives the farmers a fixed income, which makes their lives a lot easier. As a result, they no longer have to hunt and/or cut down jungles. In this way Koppycoffee creates a more beautiful world for nature, animals and people!

Summary
The boys from Koppycoffee came knocking on my door with the beautiful story. They wanted to bring their purpose and story to the outside world as strongly as possible, but how? To do this they first needed a brand identity, they did have a logo, but they were not satisfied. Besides that, they didn't have a website yet and most importantly, no design for the coffee packaging.
The process
It's a crucial stage that allows both parties to align on the project's vision and expectations. To achieve the best results, I believe that any project should be completed in collaboration.
Research provides a broader understanding of the field and trends, creating a unique identity in the industry and identifying the aspects that differentiate the product from competition and where it can improve.
By performing this analysis, I come up with a list of dos and don'ts for the project as I strive to make each product unique. My primary aim is to make the product recognizable and powerful.
This is what is called a preparation phase when I come up with ideas, a set of assets, color palettes and other materials that may be at hand while creating the design. UX Research helps to find ways of implementation.
Wireframing is a phase that cannot be skipped while making the website design, because it helps to ensure that the structure is valid and that all screens are present. In addition, I also work out my ideas for the packaging with sketches.
Let the magic begin here! Designing is in my opinion the best part where the ideas come to life. Here I let my imagination run wild. The goal is of course to create a super brand and website.
By creating a clickable prototype in Figma, I perform a double check with the consistency of the current and user interaction. It helps to identify the holes and make corrections to the website before it is passed on to the next phase. In addition, with creating Mock Ups, it gives a great picture of what certain media expression will look like in real life.
At the end of this journey comes the delivery for the printing of the packaging and banners. In the meantime I am also building a working website in Wordpress.

The story in short
This protected nature reserve is located in the extreme northeast of Laos. This huge area is home to many plants and animals. Due to the unease of the local population and a lack of resources, nature is lost every day.
KoppyCoffee believes that it is no longer necessary and wants to do something about this, together with the local population. Thanks to our joint help, the local population can grow coffee in the edges of the nature reserve. They buy the coffee beans for a fair price, so that farmers have a stable income and a better future.
As a result, they are no longer dependent on hunting and deforestation, which means that nature improves. In this way we invest part of our profit in a better future for the local population and we help the nature organisation.
This way we create a more beautiful world for nature, animals and people. And you can enjoy your cup of coffee with a good feeling.
